About Pierre Dionne Labelle

Pierre was born and raised in Saint-Jérôme. He worked for many years for the Regroupement des organismes communautaires des Laurentides as a development agent.

He is well known in his community, particuarly for his work for the Canadian Cancer Society and for his involvement in the Collectif pour un Québec sans pauvreté.

In the mid-1990s Pierre was recognized for his work as President of the Association des artistes de la musique et du spectacle Laurentides and for his project to create a cultural cooperative at the old Saint-Jérôme railway station.

For the last two years Pierre has had a regular column in Écho du Nord, focussing on political and social issues.
